Hineni: A Conversation with AJ Edelman
Meet the Orthodox Jew who pilots the Israeli four-man bobsled at our next Hineni: Here I Am event! Join us for an intimate conversation with AJ Edelman, a proud Jewish Olympian who made history representing Israel in skeleton at the Winter Olympics.
Adam “AJ” Edelman is a Jewish athlete from Brookline, Massachusetts, representing Israel in bobsledding at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. He is the captain and a founding force behind Israel’s bobsled team, the first of its kind from the Jewish State, humorously known as “Shul Runnings.” Edelman is Israel’s first multi-sport Olympian, having also represented Israel in skeleton at the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea.
Beyond competing under the Israeli flag, Edelman is a bold and unapologetic advocate for Israel, using his global platform to proudly represent, defend, and humanize the country on and off the ice.
